What does someone's size have to do with spiritual What does someone's size have to do with spirituality?⁠ ⁠ Well to be perfectly honest it shouldn’t have anything to do with it - but the world we live in that is steeped in sizest and fatphobic rhetoric and messaging - makes it so.⁠ ⁠ My truly wonderful guest on The Priestess Podcast today is Andrea Westbrook @andreawestbrookcoaching, a life coach for fat, curvy and plus sized women.⁠ ⁠ Andrea shares with us about the necessary reclaiming of the word fat, how exclusionary spiritual spaces can be of people who are fat and most importantly of all - what we can do about such things to make a spiritual path of life exploration open to us all.⁠ ⁠ I know you will find Andrea inspirational and heart opening in her messaging about this topic which is not just relevant in spiritual spaces and our work - but our lives in general as well. ⁠ ⁠ ⁠

And it likely means it will only be seen by only a small number of people, even with my 11K+ followers. Such is the evolution of such spaces + getting used to them giving us certain things. Nothing is static + certainly it isn't here where we are passengers + while in control of how we show up, not of anything else once we do. We may like to be, but we're not. And the latest evolution of this space has me thinking, feeling + acting differently here than previously. Just last week I was hearting all your photos + commenting in a frenzy because I KNEW just like me, what you were posting was not getting the love it once did. I wanted to do my part, but that freneticism is not for me. And I honour that reaction is mine to deal with. When I look at this professionally taken photograph of myself by @_in_the_flow_ I see a 50 yo woman who arrived at that shoot without pro hair + makeup, wearing an op shop dress. The external shifts reflect an ageing + life transition that is seeing me value myself + my time, effort + energy more than I ever have. How I spend my time + with whom is more precious to me than it ever has been. I enjoy this space. I can't imagine not being here. However the frequency + pace with which I post here is evolving. As it changes so do I, because I do not have a desire to pour my heart into what I hope is helpful + inspiring content or heartfelt sharings of my life + it not be seen - even by those who consciously choose for it to be shown to them. Because we ALL know we are not seeing things on here we want to, through no doing of our own. And are we responsible for ensuring the content we share is good and captures attention in a meaningful way? Of course. But that is NOT what is happening here for so many. I will be here less. And that feels right + a chance for me to deepen into my email community + loving my clients + people in real time. I am choosing to evolve in how I show up here just as I am in life right now. Alignment. Even when it's challenging + comes with uncertainty, it still clicks. That's what alignment truly is. A click. A knowing. A yes.
September - you were a wild rollercoaster ride. September - you were a wild rollercoaster ride. I pulled off with great joy in partnership with @heart_sparks @tedxcecilstreet - It was beyond all comprehension of amazingness. Bloody hard work = yep. Worth it = yep. Our house progressed in Warragul and is now going up fast. Patience is a virtue they say. I have none for this right now and am bordering on stalking events and wonderful things happening in the region. I plan to be living it up in the country and so get ready #Warragul I was heartfully blown away with your comments and sharings about my post here on IG about perimenopause. It’s no joke. Right now I’m in a good phase of not too many hot flashes (thank you!) but more than my fair share of brain fog. For a type A achiever like me it’s a challenging place to be and you don’t want to know how many things I’ve lost or misplaced this past month alone. I’m racking them up. So grateful to this man of mine who is being beyond supportive. We went on the most divine holiday to Yirrganydji Country, Far North Queensland. It was gorgeously warm, luscious, filled with good food, sleep, rainforest bathing and ocean swims in the Coral Sea. The water temperature was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced - so warm like a bath. Victorian ocean you have a LOT to answer for. (Also - my hair in the tropics is either hot AF or a freaking fizz disaster. There is no middle ground!) While away I began to contemplate what I will do with my now bulging wait list for mentoring. No answers came. I want to work with you all. Truly. And I can’t. I know something will come. And on the last day of the month I hosted a brand new masterclass for @bycacademy which was SO much fun. I cannot wait to share more about the changes we are making to the course for 2023. It’s going to be even more beautiful than ever before. Thank you September. And Spring. I’m grateful for all of you.
