Becca is a writer, womxn’s coach, and host of the Belonging podcast. She holds space for womxn to explore ancestral wisdom, connect with the earth, and find meaningful and inclusive sisterhood. In the age of loneliness, Becca shows us how to feel like we truly belong – to each other, to the earth, to a lineage, and to ourselves.
My guest on The Priestess Podcast today, Becca Piastrelli, says that “Being alive in this time means that we all have a long and tangled past that our ancestors navigated to get us where we are today.” And she speaks the absolute truth. Truth in particular when speaking about tanglements that relate to those of us who identify as white and are descendants of people who colonised land, more often than not through brutal means, that we may still, and likely do, benefit from today. There is so much ancestral wisdom, culture and beauty that we can all access as modern day folk living right now. In fact, our ancestors can be our greatest allies. However for us to really tap into their wisdom and learn from their mistakes of past, we must be prepared to uncover and face the truth of both the beauty and the horror of what has transpired before us, so that we can forge a new path for ourselves right now and for all those to come into the future.
