The ‘coming to’ moment or opening realisation The ‘coming to’ moment or opening realisation that your life is your spiritual practice is where everything matures. In the best possible way.
When you no longer have to or believe you have to…
🙏🏻 Have the ‘perfect’ conditions to sit with yourself
💜 Be in total silence to hear your soul voice
🌈 Look, feel or be a certain way to look, feel or be any way
⭐️ Create uninterrupted, pristine, controlled, perfect conditions for things to ‘work’
Life weaves all around us in ways that are unpredictable. If we wait for the so-called perfect moment or stop if things don’t unfold in exactly the way we might have wanted, we miss the chance to show ourselves loving maturity to move forward or come back to the spiritual practice that is our life. Not just a meditation.
And we might miss the spiritual and life gift being presented to us. Which in my instance this morning is n.e.v.er to be missed.
It's been nearly 5 months since we moved to region It's been nearly 5 months since we moved to regional living after building our dream home in Warragul, West Gippsland. Neither Glenn or I are strangers to country living - just not this area! It's new to us.

The move was not easy. 2 elderly cats, a dog + our ‘stuff’ from the other side of the state was a big task. We did it however + arrived in time for summer.

We've made a concerted effort to get to know this beautiful region. We've also loved being on our own doorstep - or really I should say backyard - where our gate takes us through a fairy dwell to the civic gardens. #heaven

Local biz I've fallen in love with include @themakeuphubofgippsland (what whiz with a makeup brush is the owner Jess!), @mainstreet3820 for fab coffee, @vintagevibes_by_knoxbrooke for a fabulous second hand fossick, incredible eco-florist @pepperberryflora, gorgeous shopping at @dearblackbirdboutique @themarigoldmerchant + @jazala___ + the power combo of amazing coffee, shopping AND cocktails at @violetandivvy

Fabulous things I/we have done have included @creativeharvestgippsland, a spa pamper at the beautiful @brandycreekestate, exploring the natural areas surrounding us, becoming regulars at @warragulfarmersmarket + an amazing fundraising lunch for @agirlsdayout_warragul - just look at that pumping dance floor!

And I've managed to survive a bout of double pnuemonia saved only by long soup lunches on our deck + losing our beloved Cookie. We are so glad she made it here with us.

Moving to an area where you know almost no one I am only just starting to realise takes a lot of courage. We did it + it's been worth it as I finally start to feel settled, meet wonderful people + really nestle in.

And I'm so thrilled in this past week to have had my first local speaking invitation for an event I'm truly excited about.

More to come on that one.

Thank you to every person whose path we may have crossed + where you have shown us kindness + welcome.

There's been a lot of you. I'm grateful to now be living here beside you in our forever home.

(Oh + I’m going on a Mushroom Foraging Adventure with @stringandsalt on the weekend. Look at my stories for the fun!)
Yep. You should think twice. Even if you d Yep. You should think twice.

Even if you don't recognise yourself in any of these, every person thinking about undertaking a big life change, period of study + transition like becoming a life coach, should do so anyway.

Stepping into a role where you help support people with their life desires, goals, ways of being + honouring themselves is a privilege + one that should come with soulful thought about if it's right for you. That's the least you should do to hold YOURSELF before deciding to train + be a life coach.

The good news is that some of the things you might have been thinking that would cause you to pause before becoming a coach are not nearly the big issue you may think.

Things like...

> Needing to be 'perfect'
> Feeling like you've got everything aligned/sorted in your life all the time
> Be a certain age
> Never having had or be experiencing mental health challenges
> Not be seeing someone for psychological/emotional support
> Not ever having owned a business
> Living with a chronic health condition
> Having challenging relationships with close family
> Being neurodiverse
> Having multiple career changes + being unsure what your 'thing' is
> Being unsure of what your niche/area of coaching may be
> Never having been coached before

These are just some of the things in my many years in this industry that I know people thinking about becoming a coach are often concerned about - when it's really more the ones above that should give deeper pause + thought.

If this sort of loving honesty, depth of experience + love for the integrity + ethics of coaching resonates with you, final places are now available for the only life coaching course that @bycacademy is running this year. We begin in July + already have the most brilliant people joining us from all over the world.

If you'd like $250 off your enrolment + some other amazing goodies including an online group VIP day with me, please DM me or you can even book a chat directly with me from the link above.

There's n e v e r any obligation, hard push or sell but I'd love to know more about you, what your coaching dreams may be + if we are a match.

If it's one thing I know for sure (Oprah style) it If it's one thing I know for sure (Oprah style) it's that one of the most important and necessary spends of your time in business is in building connections and relationships with others.

And not just any connections and relationships.

And certainly not transactional ones.

Rather ones where you get to truly be yourself, show yourself, honour yourself and allow someone else to be themselves, show themselves and honour themselves too.

Owning your own business is a very unique and at times challenging way to live out a part of your life. Sometimes only another business owner can truly understand what you are experiencing and what you may need to get through and come out the other side not having given up.

I know for certain that when I look back on my business journey that one of the main things I will be most heart swelled and likely tear filled about is the people I have met and in varying forms - admired, respected and loved - and had those things returned to me.

All of these beautiful people are soon to be guests on the 'to be released next week' Inspired Coach Podcast for @bycacademy

How blessed am I to have had them say yes to the invitation and know that our conversation and interview will be fuelled by an underlying connection and care that I know will be felt by all listening.

Don't ever give up on finding your people. Every step you take towards them, including some potential relationship heartbreak along the way, is worth it.

And I hope you will join me next week in listening in to this amazing new podcast. I and we all are pouring so much love into it.

Who are you most looking forward to hearing from?

I'm not a good sick person - but not in the way yo I'm not a good sick person - but not in the way you may think.

I'm a good patient. I'll do the things I'm guided to + not whine or be demanding.

What I've come to learn about myself however is that psychologically I'm terrible when I'm sick. To myself.

I lose all logic that I am S I C K + think what I am capable of should be the same as when not sick. Never mind as I found myself recently I may have a raging fever + double pneumonia, coughing into the night, not eating, struggling to breathe.

Where does this unkindness come from? This unkindness that heard me tell myself...

Get up
You're lazy
Come on
Move it
You're letting clients down
You're failing the team

Logically I knew it wasn't serving me + yet still it came in waves of harshness mixed with lots of capitalistic thoughts about falling behind + not producing enough.

I am therefore once again reminded that our greatest teaching in life/biz comes when we are experiencing things that are stretching + where we must look at ourselves differently + change, or face ongoing painful lessons.

Being sick + not able to work when you run your own biz is no joke. It's a different experience to being sick + working for someone. It tests your patience, self-compassion, capacity to surrender, deep seated fears about your productivity, worthiness, + earnings. Thrown in with the reality that you genuinely MAY earn less + have to say no to opportunities.
This is where that saying that owning your own biz is one of the greatest personal development journeys you can ever go on is so true.
I've been here nearly 20 years. Clearly there is still so much for me to learn. About me. At times when I 'should' display more gentleness to myself than ever, I don't seem to be able to do that well. And so layers of conditioning are calling to be unravelled.
I can't be anything but grateful for the showing + that there is healing here for me within my heart + soul beyond the healing that has recently taken place in my body.
Why can I be so compassionate to others who are sick + yet not myself?
I'm walking with this question gently right now.
Have you ever had to do the same?
I'd love to know.
Throughout my almost two decades in business the v Throughout my almost two decades in business the very best spend of money I've ever made has always been directly on me.
I've done business courses, masterminds, media training, money management, online course development - the works. And while there have been a couple I've questioned if the investment was truly worth it, overall they all have had value in some form or another. Some of them deeply so.
However when I think back over all the investments I have made to create the stable, flourishing + deeply nourishing business I now have, it's been when I've invested in experiences that have helped me to be a richer + deeper space holder + more authentically grounded + connected M E that I have the deepest gratitude for.
Exploring my Celtic ancestry, embracing myself as a modern day priestess, getting therapy to address my deep seated people pleasing + fear of abandonment, learning to connect deeper with my body + somatic self - all of them helped me to become better at my craft.
Listening. Intuiting. Feeling. Seeing. Holding. Uplifting. Challenging. Honouring. Expanding.
At the deepest levels with profound + often life + business changing results that change the trajectory of peoples lives.
Every time I have devoted to myself I have also devoted to my craft.
My deepest desire to become a better coach. A more skilled supervisor. A more reverent mentor. A more confident breathwork facilitator. And a more loving energy practitioner.
Investing in the deepest parts of yourself is a portal to not just personal growth but business growth as well. In every possible way.
Clients. Opportunities. Visibility. Subscribers. And more...
